How do I unregister my boat?

In cases where a vessel is sold, lost, stolen, destroyed, transferred, or abandoned the person whose name appears on the Certificate of Number shall notify the appropriate authorities in writing within 15 days.

When selling a yacht a bill of sale or a notary must be provided. If you are having trouble obtaining a bill of sale form, feel free to ask us what is involved for preparing a standardized document.

If you are selling your yacht to an individual that will be registering it, the regulations for registering the boat in their country/state must be thoroughly checked. The bill of sale may be required to be notarized and/or proof of authority registration submitted.

Our services include working on all documentation items designed for owners who need to remove or delete a vessel from Coast Guard or equivalent documentation. An optional evidence of removal certificate is also available upon request.

We ensure that this way, we fulfill authority requirements when ownership has transferred and provide the necessary certification for acquiring official level de-registration or foreign registry.
